starting in second gear

why bother with first?

It’s nice to just send something out into space, so much more vague and abstract (and pleasantly so) than having my thoughts in print, right there, in black and white. Blogs are on the web, which is some ephemeral technology that I don’t fully understand anyway, and can’t really comprehend in the same way that I can’t really comprehend a billion dollars. Meaningless. Therefore I write all kinds of things that I probably would never say or write in real life, because it tickles me and it doesn’t really do any harm anyway because in a few days the entry will be buried in the archives and the three people that have read it will be busy with other things.

Celebrate Procrastination!

I would just like to take a moment to celebrate my third attempt at working today by doing a little blogging about it. You may think that this is silly and more than a little counterproductive, especially since my other two attempts at work today have resulted in the following (in order): 1)blogging and 2)blogging. Well, you may say, what's so different about this latest (failed) attempt at working, and isn't celebrating it by blogging about it a little like an alcoholic having a kegger to celebrate falling off the wagon? And you would be right, my friend, you would be right. But I'm still not working! Hah! Who feels silly now?

oh yeah...procrastination--that must be why i'm READING your blog! i don't even have it in me to write on my own. now how counter-counterproductive is that?! (not that i don't enjoy reading your blog--actually I LOVE it when you post!)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to our upcoming break this afternoon. ok--so we missed the sun. oops, sorry. :)-

Hey, I'm procrastinating too. But since I'm talking Blogs & Wikis I can call this homework. I'm just a really good student. Hooray!

Is there a class I can take that will allow me to call playing The Sims homework?

I find you so amusing. Thanks for the laughs. I've been putting things off all day, calling it resting.
